a quick summary of 2018

Usually when it’s a new year I go over my New Years resolutions from my last years blog post, but I deleted that post with my last blog. Because of that I decided to try something new this year. The last year has my life has been crazy. I got my first job, met the love of my life, and I got to live my life for the first time since I was 14. I decided I would put in a few of my favorite moments from this year and also some milestones.

Picnics: At the beginning of summer my boyfriend took me to this amazing garden for the day. It was so pretty. We got to eat lunch on perfectly green grass and look out on the lake, across the lake is the city. The day was amazing and the garden was amazing.fullsizeoutput_20e1To close the summer out we had another picnic at the park near my house. I also attempted my first bento box and after we ate we went on the swings because I still act like a child 80% of the time. IMG_6968

Workouts: Working out has become so important to me over the last year. It’s something that makes me happy and feel good. When I don’t work out for a few days I get pretty moody and get annoyed with everything. I can’t believe how far I’ve come this last year. I’m very slowly getting abs and I’m learning what works for me. IMG_6992

Jobs: I’ve has three jobs this year. Two of the stores I’ve worked for have closed, one closed four days ago. It’s been a huge learning experience for me. It was hard learning that first store was closing, because of how much I learnt and grew there in just few months, and because of how much I liked the people that worked there, but it ended up being for the best. I started talking more while I worked there, I learnt how to work in retail, and it was an amazing first job. (the picture is taking while we were packing up the store.)IMG_6096

Health: I don’t talk about my health to much on my blog because it’s not something that I talk about in my daily life. The past few years of my life have been filled with doctors appointments and pain, but this year I only had to see my specialist three times and only had four crohn’s flair ups. I had to go to the ER once this year and I got a virus, which both set me back a little bit from where I wanted to be, but I still got to my goal and that isn’t something I thought would ever happen.

Ice skating: I went ice skating twice and I managed to not cling to the wall. Honestly it was so much fun. I fell a few times the first time I went. I went just before Christmas and I somehow only fell once and that was my boyfriends fault(don’t tickle people while ice skating.)IMG_E5137

I haven’t thought much about my New Years resolution this year, but I’m still going to make a few because they really do motivate me.

  1. Keep working out
  2. Try hard in school
  3. Keep writing
  4. Try new things
  5. Go for what I want
  6. Give myself a break sometimes
  7. Find more things that make living life incredible
  8. Continue learning new things

Some of these are kind of vague, but I’m trying to give myself some room to grow.

Happy New Year!!

blogging again and writing on my old blog

A year ago I switched over to a self hosted blog. It was a great experience and at the time I did it I had a huge passion for blogging, but as time went on I stopped wanting to write and didn’t even know what to write about. Blogging for me has always been about having fun and when it started becoming stressful I decided it was time to take a step back. I just moved and I thought it might be good time to start blogging again. I decided to get rid of my self hosted account and come back to this blog which is my original account. I didn’t move any of my followers or post from my other blog onto this one; because I lost my inspiration while on that blog.

This time around I’m not going to have a post schedule or worry about getting a post up every week. I’m doing this for fun and to get back to writing more, since its something I love so much.

Outfit of the Day #1

fullsizeoutput_970It’s thankfully still warm where I live and I am going to enjoy the nice weather for as long as I can. Since it was so nice out my mum and I went to the parkway near my house and I took some photos.

fullsizeoutput_96dPretty much everything I wear is really comfortable and easy to move around in . Trying to jump up on things and moving around a lot doesn’t usually work very well in tight pants or dresses, unfortunately.

fullsizeoutput_965fullsizeoutput_99cfullsizeoutput_99dI had sooo much fun taking these pictures, but afterwards I just wanted to eat and go to sleep. I wore a hoodie from H&M that I got for Christmas, shorts that wear originally jeans, and boots from rue 21. I also decided to French braid my hair as it was really hot that day and I can’t stand my hair being in my face.

I’m really bad about taking time to check out new blogs, but one way I do is by reading peoples post about their favorites. I find those post so helpful so I decided to do one myself. I am currently moving, so this post is going to be shorter than usual. None the less I hope you enjoy it and find this post helpful.

Oriana’s Notes– This is a lifestyle blog. Their are post about fashion, hair, food, and DIYs; I find that I don’t get bored of this blog because of the large variety of content. This is one of the first blogs I ever followed. I’ve been reading it for around a year and I still love it.

Olive and Clo– This blog has some of the most beautiful pictures. Most of the post have to do with fashion and travel. She is based in Australia and the scenery in a lot of her pictures is absolutely beautiful. While most of he post are about fashion their are also post about recipes, advice, and just things that interest her. Their no front when you read her blog, their’s no gimmick or character, just her. I love reading this blog and I also highly recommend following her Instagram as her pictures are stunning.

The Southern Palette– I ended up following this blog a few months ago because of a post she wrote called My Five Favorite Online Boutiques. I ended up really liking the content and it has become one of my favorite blogs to read.

Lids and Tricks– I usually put a lot of focus on pictures when I’m reading blog post, although with this blog I focus more on the writing. I enjoy her post so much; her writing and content are both amazing.
