Just starting is my biggest achievement so far. I didn’t think I would be able to do any of this before I started. I am so thankful I took a leap of faith and started when I doubted I could do it. I’ve learnt so much about exercise and nutrition and that I can do more than I think. I want to continue to push myself and continue to learn….
I love reading peoples What I Eat in a Day posts. I don’t know why, but I find them really interesting. I try to eat pretty healthy and balanced. Since I workout I try to make sure I’m eating enough protein and just enough food in general. I’ve gotten a lot more into nutrition over the past few weeks and my diet has slowly been changing. I took the photos for this post on a Monday and this way a very typical day for me as far as what I ate…
It’s been really overcast where I live and so I decided to have a day in just relaxing. Anyone who knows me knows I’m terrible at relaxing. My normal state is tense and a little stressed. I have been working on this though and have been much calmer and happier. Taking time out for yourself is so important, especially if you’ve been really busy or stressed about something.
I spent my day doing things I enjoyed. I watched some youtube videos, went to the gym, took my dog on a long walk, and did a face mask. I also got to sit down and read some blogs, which is something I haven’t had time to do lately. I love reading peoples blogs and I want to make time to do that mo…
It’s Fall and my skin hasn’t been great, so I’ve been doing a lot of face mask. In general face mask don’t tend to be very expensive, but if you doing them often it can add up. DIY face mask are a cheap and effective alternative and also their something I tend to make with friends at sleepovers for fun. All of these are good for sensitive skin. Here are three of my favorite DIY face mask.

Raspberries, blueberries, and mint:
Instructions: Rinse the blueberries, mint, and raspberries and put them in a container. Pour water in the container and leave it overnight.
Cucumber and lemon: This is great for boosting your immune system, keeping you hydrated, and removes harmful toxins from your body. You can add meant to this one if you would like.
Instructions: Cut up the lemon and cumber and add everything to your container. This one does’t need long, I usually let it sit for half an hour and it’s plenty strong.
Raspberries, cucumber, and mint: It will boost your metabolism and flush out toxins. Its a great detox water to have if your felling a bit sluggish.
Lemon, blueberry, and raspberry: I recommend this one if you feel like your gonna get sick, or it’s flu season. It has lots of vitamin c
Apple Detox water: The apple will act as an energy booster, I like to have it around one in the afternoon when I’m starting to slow down. This drink also bust your metabolism and has lots of antioxidents. You can add a pinch of cinnamon if you want, I personally like it plain, but it depends on you preference.
Instructions: Cut 5 thin slices of a sweet apple(you can add more if you want)add water and let sit for at least ten minutes. If you want it to be stronger make it up the night before and leave it in the fridge overnight.
Water can get a bit boring sometimes and fruit and herbs can add some flavor when I want something besides water to drink. Their refreshing and perfect for summer. I hope this was helpful x
I’ve been dealing with cystic acne for about a year and normal mild acne since I was eleven. I’m not entirely sure why my acne got worse so late, I was almost 17 when it got really bad. Even though I started getting spots when I was eleven, I didn’t start washing my face until I was 13 and I stopped when I was fourteen for about a year a half. When my acne started getting worse I started washing my face, but it just continued to get worse. I stated trying different products, though unfortunately nothing worked. A few months ago I decided to start really trying to get rid of my acne. I was always trying to hide my face with my hair and didn’t want my picture taken. Since I have lots of allergies I have to do a lot of research on every product I try and I decided to try a more natural route so I would know what was going into the products I’m putting on my skin. I don’t wear makeup everyday, but when I do I use two cotton balls and Micellar water to remove my makeup. If I’m not wearing makeup I start my routine by pulling my hair up and washing my face. I’ve been using clean and clear for three years. I’m currently looking for a more everyday face wash that works well for me, but this is what I’m using right now. It leaves my skin feeling clean and I like the smell.I make my own eye cream, it’s just to reduce dark circles and puffiness. I have the recipe hereAfter I wash my face I use rose water as a toner. It’s refreshing and now is one of my favorite steps in my skincare routine. At first I didn’t get the point of using a toner, but I starting noticing a difference in my skin, so I researched why it’s good to use a toner. It is now an essential part of my skin care routine. I read that coconut oil is a great moisturizer, but with some people it clogged their pores, causing more acne. I decided to try it and was really surprised and happy when I noticed improvement(I didn’t really expect it to work).
My skin has been improving and I’m really happy with the way it looks right now. If you have any good face wash recommendations please leave them in the comments as I have been trying to find one for awhile now. All the products in this post are gluten and dairy free, allergies can be very annoying, but its usually easy to find alternatives that work for you.

Things you’ll need:
- Small container
- 2 tab Coconut oil
- 1 tab Almond oil
- 1 bag Green tea
- Double boiler(a glass bowl and a pot)
- Create a double boiler and place the coconut oil and almond oil in the bowl.
- Once the coconut oil has melted cut the tea bag open and pour in the contents. I like to use lose tea and I add one spoon of it.
- Let sit for 10-15 minutes and then let cool
- Once cool strain the mixture to remove the tea leaves and then pour into a container
- Keep in the fridge and the mixture is good for two weeks.
Green Tea Benefits: Green tea has anti-aging and antioxidant benefits that can help delay signs of skin aging, such as sun damage, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. The green tea will also help reduce puffiness and dark circles around your eyes.
Coconut Oil Benefits: Coconut oil deeply hydrates your skin and prevents pre mature wrinkling and aging. It also has a lot of vitamin E which is great for your skin.
Almond Oil Benefits: With regular use almond oil will lighten the skin under your eyes, reducing the appearance of dark circles. It is also high in vitamin A which can help with acne and vitamin E which will rejuvenate your skin.
I like making a lot of my skin care products and this is one of my favorite recipes. A lot of good eye creams tend to be more on the expensive side, this cost a lot less and you know exactly what’s going in it.

I like watching and reading peoples what I eat in a days for meal and snack ideas, so I decided to try one myself.
I know waffles aren’t the best thing in the world to eat, but I don’t think you need to give up anything that’s not like granola and fruit to be healthy. I try to just remember everything in moderation and as long as I’m healthy and happy I can’t ask for much more. I don’t make my waffles there frozen and made by Natures Path
LUNCH: FRIED RICE WITH CHICKEN
I eat rice pretty everyday. I lived in Asia for a few years growing up and it was just something that was always around and it was in most dishes. My mum used to make fried rice about once a week and every Wednesday my school had fried rice, so I ate it a lot, of course I loved it so I didn’t mind.
SNACK: Green Apple with Almond Butter
Today was a gym day, I ran about 2 kilometers and worked on my arms. After I get back from the gym I always go strait to the kitchen and eat a snack. I had a green apple with almond butter because it has lots of protein, which is good after a workout. I don’t like to eat large amounts right after a workout because I end up feeling sick if I do, but I am really hungry when I get back, so I find this is a great after gym snack for me.
I love smoothies! I have one almost every single day. This is a raspberry and blueberry smoothie and it is so good.
DETOX WATER: Raspberry, blueberry, and mint
I forgot I was photographing my food, but I remembered when I was almost finished.
SNACK: That’s It Bar
My mum found these at the store one day and bought it for me to try. They taste a bit like fruit leathers, but there easier to eat. I like these because it’s a simple, healthy snack, that I can eat on the go.
DINNER: Salmon with lemon and homemade French fries.
I don’t actually fry my French fries, I just put a bit of oil on them and put them in the oven. Originally I started putting lemon on my salmon because I thought it looked pretty, but I ended up really liking the taste of the salmon and lemon together, which surprised me.
DESERT: VANILLA WAFFERS
My dog wanting attention<3
I’m currently trying to be healthier, so I’ll see how it goes. Hope you enjoyed this post x
